Our post-undergraduate group seeks to provide our young adults (aged 22-40) and graduate students parishioners with a community that is rooted in Word and Sacrament and committed to evangelization and service.
Past events have included game nights, apple picking, bowling, ice skating and many more. Spiritual events have included adoration, divine mercy chaplet, religious videos, and more. Service events have included serving food at Food at First, cooking supper at Emergency Residence Project, making blankets for Project Linus and more.
The best way to stay informed on what is going ` is our flock-notes email list. We also post in the e-bulletin, and the bulletin.Leadership Team:
Our book club will be equal parts, intellectual, spiritual, and social. We read books from a wide range of topics and genres: everything from theology and the lives of the saints to novels by Christian authors. The goal of the group is to bring people together to grow in faith and community in a casual, weekly forum.
The amount of reading will always be light, less than 45 minutes per week. Even if you haven't done the reading or can't come every week, you are encouraged to attend, conversations always go on tangents and everyone can join in.
The book club will be organized by Jackson Hayes, a PhD student at Iowa State. If you are interested in joining contact Jackson or just drop by on any Thursday night.
