Lisa Schmidt

Lisa grew up in small-town LeGrand, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University where she received a B.S. in Child, Family & Community Services and a Master of Public Administration. After a fruitful career in public administration and city management, the Lord called Lisa into ministry by supporting her husband Joel through deacon formation and serving the church in various roles as a deacon’s wife, launching a women’s ministry called The Well, and serving at two parishes as the director of Faith Formation & Evangelization. Deacon Joel and Lisa have been married for 19 years and have four children. Lisa enjoys singing, watching sports, reading and writing, meeting friends for coffee at local coffee shops, and eating Joel’s cheesecakes! Lisa began at STA in May 2023 and is greatly blessed to journey with others to encounter Jesus, receive his love, and grow as disciples for the church.
