Bobby LeBlanc
Bobby is originally from Louisiana. He was born & raised in Baton Rouge, in the shadow of LSU, and lived in New Orleans for 15 years where he attended Loyola University (it didn't take him 15 years to graduate!).
Bobby begins his 27th year as Business Manager for the parish. He claims he is the best business manager STA has ever had (there have only been 2 and the other person disputes that claim)!
Before coming to STA, Bobby was a religious Brother (Brothers of the Sacred Heart) for 19 years. With a degree in secondary education he served as classroom teacher, supervisor of student teachers, track coach and facilities administrator in Catholic high schools in four states: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Connecticut. Bobby is a product of Catholic education from kindergarten to graduate school. He also worked for one year in a homeless shelter in Shreveport, Louisiana, overseeing a men's shelter and managing a soup kitchen that fed 150-250 meals two times a day.
His graduate studies have included theology, religious studies, spirituality and education at Fordham (NYC), University of New Orleans, St. John's (NYC) and Tulane (NOLA) universities. He has been involved with community service, liturgy, administration and religious community spirituality.
He was a friend of the holy and amazing Sister Thea Bowman, who is being considered for canonization. He got to know her while she was at Xavier Univeristy in New Orleans in 1982.
Along with his financial oversight responsibilities his other STA parish responsibilities include: buildings & grounds, parking, facility use, secruity & maintenance as well as the day-to-day operation of the church and student center. As part of his responsibilities he is a member of the parish Finance Council, Buildings and Grounds committee, Stewardship Ministry Team, and Tech Committee. Bobby enjoys photography, writing, watching LSU football & the New Orleans Saints, binge-watching TV shows, humor, and authentic Cajun food.
