Lisa Turner, L.M.F.T.       l.turner@dbqarch.org  515-296-2759

Hi! My name is Lisa Turner and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Biola University in La Mirada, California, where I also completed a minor in Bible. I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University.

Even though my background and training is in marriage & family therapy, I also work with individuals, both adults and teenagers. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) since 2012, and use it extensively with clients who have experienced all types of trauma, in addition to those who live with depression and anxiety. This exciting modality offers clients a lot of relief from symptoms.

I counsel from a Biblical perspective, helping people who struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, interpersonal/relationship issues, divorce/separation, OCD, and grief. My approach to counseling is relational, and I look forward to learning more about how I can work best with you.

I schedule clients on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday.
