Through Baptism we become members of the Body of Christ. Baptized -- bathed in water in the name of the Trinity, anointed with the oil of Chrism, clothed in white and given the light of Christ the newly baptized is welcomed into the Christian Community and called to discipleship. The Christian community assists the parents and godparents in training the child in the practice of the faith as a child of God.
