St. Thomas Aquinas Church and Catholic Student Center is embarking on a 3-evening parish mission on April 8, 9, and 10 during the 2024 Easter season. Join for this special opportunity to encounter the healing power and love of the Holy Spirit.

Discover a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit! Join our STA summer study, The Wild Goose. Each session includes 30-minutes of teaching and 30-minutes of discussion. Sessions held on Sundays after 8:30 AM Mass, beginning May 12 and running through August 11. Classes held in Prophets & Martyrs located in the Lower Level.

Twenty-two parishioners gathered at St. Cecilia’s to learn about the Ames Climate Action Plan from presenter Lee Anne Willson and discuss how to support implementation of the plan as organizations and individuals. 

Converting building lighting to energy efficient LED lights was accelerated by using a portion of the 2023 match to parishioner donations for solar panels. T

Twenty-five parishioners gathered July 15, 2023 at Growing Harmony Farm to learn about sustainability from hosts Gary and Nancy Guthrie. Gary and Nancy explained how they have used Jesuit and Ignatian values to guide their decision-making on the farm with wonderful, and sometimes surprising, results.
