STA LENTEN RETREAT
Pope Francis invites us into a year of Jubilee. Mary Jo Pfeifer Wulf and Gary Guthrie will be offering an afternoon of reflection on Pope Francis’ "Spes Non Confundit," Hope does not disappoint, on March 30 from 1-4pm at St. Thomas Aquinas. In the document Pope Francis lays out an invitation to deeper conversion leading to a profound sense of hope. The afternoon will give opportunity to study, reflect in small groups, and formulate a sense of your personal Jubilee challenge. Please join us.
The suggested registration fee is $25 per person to help us cover the cost of light refreshments and materials. However, we welcome everyone to attend at no cost. Simply use the code HOPE at checkout to waive the registration fee.

What is jubilee 2025?
The year 2025 is the Jubilee Holy Year, the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church".
"Jubilee" originates in the book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Pope Francis has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as "Pilgrims of Hope".
The 2025 Jubilee Year is a time . . .- to renew relationships with God, each other, and creation
- of hope for the world suffering from war, COVID 19, and climate change
- for forgiveness and renewal
- to look to the future with hope, trust, and far-sighted vision
What will happen during the Jubilee Year?- Catholics are encouraged to pilgrimage to Rome or sacred sites in their local diocese
- There will be celebrations for various needs and communities
- There will be missions, World Mission Sunday, and the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl
The Jubilee Year officially opened on December 24, 2024 and will end on January 6, 2026

What is STA Doing?
On Sunday, March 30, STA will be hosting an afternoon of reflection focusing on Hope. The afternoon will give opportunity to study, reflect in small groups, and formulate a sense of your personal Jubilee challenge. Please join us. Click the button above to register!
During the Easter season, STA plans to host a book study on Jesus and the Jubilee: The Biblical Roots of the Year of God's Favor by Dr. John Bergsma. More details to come!
STA plans on hosting Padre in the Park every other Wednesday evening mid-June through early August where we will continue to talk about the Jubilee year.
Dr. John Bergsma will be here in October and will deliver two talks for the Supple Lecture Series.
