Event Report: Wisdom and Wine Speaker

Twenty-two parishioners gathered at St. Cecilia’s to learn about the Ames Climate Action Plan from presenter Lee Anne Willson and discuss how to support implementation of the plan as organizations and individuals.  Francis Todey asked us to consider how the City Plan might respond to Pope Francis’ recent, urgent call for creation care in “Laudate Deum”. Fr. Don welcomed us with a review of how Catholic teaching of concern for others and the urgency of the climate issue demand that we take action.

Three documents are available for those who could not attend.  Lee Anne’s presentation, Francis’ overview of the apostolic letter, and take-home suggestions for further action.
