Peer Ministry: Outreach

Hi my name is Tim Malone (II officially) and I am Outreach Peer Minister here at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. I originally come from Rockford, Illinois, which yes was named for a ford made of rock that allowed early settlers to cross the "Rock" River. So now you know the history behind why I cannot ever come up with something original! Joking of course, but in all sincerity this position represents a climax in a walk of faith that began last year at Iowa State. Through pointed challenges, the Lord showed me how little I knew about the Catholic faith and drove me to seek a deeper understanding of this wonderful gift I had been given, but had left largely unopened. Again with help from others, I began to realize that I could share what I have found through the peer ministry, and thus I stand before you today. I look forward to beginning the growth for which we have strong potential; combining our strengths for the glory of the Lord! Please pray for my fellow peer ministers and I, as well as one another as we begin this journey together.
