Lorraine Schmaltz PBVM, a Presentation Sister from Fargo, ND, is beginning her 13th year at STA as coordinator of Parish Life and Christian Initiation. Lorraine received her bachelors in elementary education in 1965 and taught elementary and junior high in catholic schools in eastern ND for 18 years. In 1982 she was invited to explore parish ministry in western ND. That ministry led to pursuing a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Seattle University and ministering in WA and OR before coming to IA.
"Being with families, especially young children, and journeying with adults wanting to be members of the Catholic Church continually nourishes my hope and bring me much joy." Lorraine is also looking forward to celebrating her 50th Jubilee of her religious profession in 2011. Where has the time gone?
