Directing religious education programs for the past 20 years (previously at St. Mark's Parish, Iowa Falls and Sacred Heart Parish, Spencer), Kathy is presently in her sixth year on staff at St. Thomas Aquinas. Kathy is a two-time graduate of Iowa State University (BS in Home Economics Education and MS in Family Studies.) While an undergraduate, she served as a summer peer minister, received a St. Jude's Scholarship, and was quite active in STA's campus ministry. Presently, she is completing a master's degree from Loras College in Pastoral Education -- Ministry. Kathy has two children, a 9th grade son and an ISU sophomore daughter. Reading, quilting, and getting together with friends are her hobbies. Kathy grew up on a farm near West Union, in Northeast Iowa. She enjoys spending quality time with her widowed mother, her four brothers and four sisters (four of which also live in central Iowa), and their families.
