Upcoming Justice Opportunities

Prison Ministry
Visiting those in prison is an important and needed ministry for Catholics to do. Every Saturday morning a group from St. Cecilia's goes to visit male and female inmates at the local correctional facility. Volunteers discuss the Sunday readings and talk with the inmates. If you are interested in learning more or in forming a group from St. Thomas to visit prisoners, please contact Christina Blakley, 296-2460 or cblakley@iastate.edu.
Red Cross Blood Drive | Friday, November 14, 2-6 p.m.
Did you miss the ISU Blood Drive? Come to the Red Cross Blood Drive @ STA Friday, November 14th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in the Lower Lounge. Schedule an appointment to donate at http://www.givebloodgivelife.org or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. Be a blood donor - save a life!
OXFAM Skip-a-Meal | Thursday November 20

What is OXFAM and why are we skipping a meal? Each year the Service and Justice team hosts a campus-wide event to raise money for world-wide hunger. Students can sign-up to skip lunch on the 20th and ISU Dining will give a portion of your lunch money to OXFAM. Students off campus and in the Greek Community are also invited to participate.

How can you get involved? Make a commitment now to skip lunch on the 20th. Great at planning events? Sign-up to help on a planning committee. Contact Christina for more information.
