Cooking at the Emergency Residence Project
In 1985 The Emergency Resident Project began its work to house the homeless in Story County. Since that time its work has expanded with transitional housing for families and homeless prevention assistance to people in need of rent or utility assistance.
St. Thomas has helped the shelter in many ways through these years. We provide regular financial assistance through our Community Outreach Tithe. Groups and families from St. Thomas provide meals for residents on Friday evenings; normally people also eat the meal with the residents. College students also organize projects with the children in transitional housing.
If you wish to sign up to provide a Friday meal, check the sheet on the information table in the gathering space at St. Thomas or contact Shari Reilly.
