Alumni Stories
Fr. Ev. Msgr. Supple, and the St. Thomas parish as a whole made a lasting imact and impression that I doubt will be forgotten anytime soon. When I would return home from ISU for breaks my parents didn't really understand at the time my comments about the diffference in atmosphere at STA versus our home parish.
-Matt Grillot ('00)
I have a few things that stick out in my mind where STA is concerned. The one that has had the biggest impact on my life is the encouragement for its parishoners to give "peace" in ways other than the conventional handshake. While attending Sunday evening Mass with my new boyfriend, I gave him a hug during the peace exchange instead of a handshake. He later admitted this was a turning point for him in our relationship. Today, that boyfriend is my husband.

Pastor's Words
We still have TNL (Thursday Night Liturgy) at 10 p.m. But now we have about 125 to 140 students who
gather to give thanks and build community.
Some would question whether the "homilies are the best." However, we still occasionally have students
present a reflection and we have social time before or after Mass.
St. Thomas Aquinas continues to be "home" for hundreds of Catholic ISU students (and some from other traditions). We are thankful that God has called us to this important ministry. I am especially thankful to the many friends of STA who support us in prayer and financially.
